CLAWSON, MI – July 23, 2006 – Legendary B-Movie host, The Ghoul, will appear live at Thomas Video and DVD, 122 S. Main Street in Clawson from 1-6 p.m. on Saturday, August 12 during the Clawson Lion’s Club “Down on Main Street Car Show.” The Ghoul, creating his own sort of mayhem, will pose for pictures, sign items and make his appearance a “howl” of a good time. He will have a new double-disc 35th Anniversary DVD set available, a new T-Shirt, and more. The Ghoul is best know for hosting B-Movies at various stations in the Detroit area during the 70s and early 80s. His psychotic humor resulted in explosive in-between-segment sketches that featured “soon-to-be” local talent – Bruce Campbell, Sam Raimi, the Polish Muslims and more. The Ghoul maintains a strong and loyal fan base in both the Detroit area and Ohio. Additionally, Mark Nowotarski, the producer/director of a new DVD, Detroit TV Memories, will be at Thomas Video and DVD and will sign copies of his DVD. The Detroit TV Memories features clips of vintage Detroit TV personalities like Sir Graves Ghastly, Soupy Sales, wrestlers the Sheik and Dick the Bruiser, Bill Kennedy, and more. “Mark made the disc in memory of his parents, Helen and Mitchell Nowotarski, and the proceeds from sales are being donated to the American Cancer Society and the Detroit Area Agency on Aging,” said Jim Olenski, owner of Thomas Video and DVD.
